hola mis amigos

sharing with you some images from an inspiration folder based around mexico colours / locations / things.  it started when i crushed out on this aztec poncho here and since then i cant stop thinking about these patterns and colour combos.  dreary winter probably has a lot to do with it.  i might have to bet inspired to do some painting along these lines....

best ever

street art by best ever....this has my mind tick tick ticking....

brocade and furrrrrrr

i've always held a thing for brocade, mix in some fur - and i'm thinking how damn hot are these from Roberto Cavalli.  that red captain hook number is beyond words.  mixology magic at its best.

the force to reckon with

these girls make me cry a little inside they are that cool.  they were my inspiration for my races hat (from their capture/escape hat, but i added a black crow because i'm a little dark).  i reckon if i could hat wear every day i'd be owning one of everything they do...check it.

capelet perfection

while i'm on a michelle rant, she remodelled this perfect feathered capelet.  if i were gonna do the feathered shoulder thing i think this would top them all...

old lady lace no more

this has to be one of the BEST diy improvement i've seen in a long time.  the end result is a lace dress waaaaayyy cooler than the bodycon versions out there everywhere.....arrghhhhh i want this now!

queen michelle (my idol) took one op shop score (which she wore granny style anyway - not my cuppa tea but hey...)

and turned it into THIS!!!

note she's shortened it qutie a bit, and simply cut out around the flowers and foliage to create an uneven hem....ah the brilliance!! it doesn't hurt that she found the perfect 70's style dress complete with puffy sleeves and elastic waist to begin with!!

she topped it off with the perfect head piece which i swore was le tour de force (my inspiration for this years race day hat - blog to follow) and i was right.  damn this queen is fine!

woodland wonderland

i'm a little bit fixated on woodland magic probably because i haven't been in any bush area in a looooonng time, city living has it's downside..sometimes.  lovin the slightly haunty, mystical creations here reminds me of childhood dreams which  are sometimes quite dark...
