pool party anyone?

a few days ago i was daydreaming of 70's disco style pool parties.  probably because we are about to hit winter and i'm in denial.  the type of party that oozes class, great hair, pops of colour and great accessories.  this editorial cements it for me and id be happy in any of these....so who's got the indoor pool.....?

so cutie cutie and a little bit dirty

ahhh love the styling in this shoot.  keeping some innocence but it's edged nicely with killer shoes, tights and accessories - cool and casual and a little bit fun!!  in love with the middle hair part...so 60/70's modern especially photographed in that setting.

year of the red head

yeah i've been reading around that 'red' is the new 'it' colour to be dying hair right now.  anything from shades of strawberry blonde, orangey copper, and well red like a fire engine i guess?    i personally was red for years waaaaaaay back and don't see me going there again anytime soon, but it did get me thinking about the ultimate in colour blocking once i saw this shoot.  basic colour blocking which is the new 'it' look is pretty easy to achieve i reckon but who is gonna take it to the next level and include their hair?  go on i dare ya. i also have to ad that the styling and photography for this editorial gets me very very very excited...

prints n patterns yes please

its all about the print and pattern for me lately, although i swing from loving this - to loving 90's minimalism ...all within the same day?  chuck in large quantities of colour and it's mixology magic at its best.  adore the frida kahlo feel for this shoot, photography is beautiful, model is stunning, fabrics are out of this world. the second look has to be my ultimate favourite - floral shorts, blouse and shoes..omg just look at it!

romance was born oh yes it was!

wow i really did tear up a lil when i saw this collection - based around Chinese laundries, Japanese gardens, bowls of fruit - oh me oh my!!  Romance Was Born has created a cacophany of bright colours, sequins and pattern-on-pattern.  if i had to choose, my personal favs have to be the opium gown, opium blouse, shirt dress, everything in the orchid and basket prints (lol), peplum dress, lantern print jean and opera skirt.  oh yeah chuck in a sequin night shirt too.....not too big a list yeah?? i think i'm strangely into those crazy shoes too - or is that taking things a bit too far!?
