these are all things im lusting over at the moment. aqua and purple - together with red. printed pants and colourful accessories...i have my eyes wide open for anything similar.

year of the red head
yeah i've been reading around that 'red' is the new 'it' colour to be dying hair right now. anything from shades of strawberry blonde, orangey copper, and well red like a fire engine i guess? i personally was red for years waaaaaaay back and don't see me going there again anytime soon, but it did get me thinking about the ultimate in colour blocking once i saw this shoot. basic colour blocking which is the new 'it' look is pretty easy to achieve i reckon but who is gonna take it to the next level and include their hair? go on i dare ya. i also have to ad that the styling and photography for this editorial gets me very very very excited...

bad ass fairies
Oh wow, dont these ladies look like some bad ass'd fairies who have raided a box of frida kahlo mexican loveliness??? i really really really want to be part of this dress up party. this is the work of meaham kirchhoff spring 2011 - and since we are now hitting spring (kinda) we should be channelling a little bit of this into our days. i'm really loving the fresh take on colour clashing and bold prints/patterns and super socks. while a toned down version is probably more the key for real world wearability...i think id stand and salute someone walking down the street dressed like this! Its a little bit fairy punk - I can watch and weep can't I??

jumping the gun
this happens every year to me...spring hits for a 'day' or heck just a few hours even and i jump head first into summertime day dreaming!! its not like i dont 'like' spring its just i hate being cold and spring = unpredictable weather which can leave me stranded and freezing cold :-/ why cant i just enjoy being in the now? because for me spring is always for me so average thats why. full of kinda sunny days that then can turn nasty, sometimes we are still skiing right up until xmas (!!?!??!?!) i wish our seasons were just really 'obvious' like other parts of the world. the only bonus for me are the blossoms (which lasted a day before rain took their goodness away). so spring go take a leap, i'll have my winter run straight into summer and until then i shall be lusting over brights and tangerine eye shadow and surf boards..
